Rates

My counselling rate is $140.00 per hour. Payment may be made by cash, cheque or e-transfer at the beginning or end of each session. Upon request a receipt will be provided with my registration number on it for insurance & income tax purposes.

 

Taxes

Social workers are exempt from charging clients GST/PST.

As well social workers are designated as “authorized medical practitioners” for the purpose of claiming medical expenses on income tax returns.

 

Insurance

Counselling fees may be reimbursed by extended health plans.

Check with your plan regarding coverage.

 

Pro Bono

If counselling fees are prohibitive please contact me to discuss options. I try to make accommodation for some pro bono work within my practice.
